OUR BIO FARM IN APULIA
THE GARDEN
We have sown the fertile ground that surrounds Masseria del Gigante in the verdant Mediterranean maquis and we are now waiting to reap its fruits. Respecting the seasonality of crops, we will grow in our garden many of the products that the generous land of Salento offers: oranges, lemons, grapefruits, tomatoes, salads, eggplants and many more.
OLIVE GROVE
With 4 different varieties of authentic extra virgin olive oil, the flourishing olive groves are the main cultivation of our bio farm. The fruits of our secular olive trees reflect the essence of the Mediterranean maquis and after an accurate transformation process, they turn into the world-renowned nectar of the Gods.
LOCAL PRODUCTS
As well as to flavour your dishes, we will use a lot of our fruits and vegetables to make delicious local products. For example Limoncello (a typical liqueur made with lemon peels), different kinds of jam, and recipes like Cotognata Leccese (a deliciously sweet, thick jelly made of the pulp of the quince fruit).
THE SEEDS OF THE FRUITS OF THE FUTURE
We also have several plans for the future. The influence of the two seas, Ionian and Adriatic, determines a unique climate for the production of wine. That’s why we are taking the first steps to create our own Negroamaro vineyard to produce one of the most renowned Italian red wines.
Our dream of creating a family farm in Apulia is becoming true, now all we want to do is share it with our guests and friends.
